Instanct Action = Instant Closure

As instantly as it opened it closed Thursday november 12th.  The studio closed with no notice.  We had an "all hands" meeting at 11:00 and CEO Louis Castle broke the news to us.  Instant Action will close.  Unfortunately this also means that our project was cancelled "Instant Jam".  Shame, because we were pretty close to coming out of beta and i truly beleive that the game had HUGE potential.  I mean, it was the only free music rhythm game in facebook that allowed you to access your own music.  It also happened to be the prettiest.  With cool 3d graphics the game was just gaining speed before it took flight.
I hope they can take the IP and sell it to Zynga, or another social media game company that can carry it to fruition.
There were other casualties in this attrition.  Torque game engine was canned and so was the very promising Instant Action Platform technology that offered downloadable games right to your pc- Like Steam but better.  Once the purchase was made-you could start playing immediately, Hence the word "Instant Action".  (I know what you were thinking and to your dismay- no, it was not a porn company.  Ah well, could just as well have been a porn company because we were all screwed in the end. :) (sorry for the bad pun).  Actually, It was a pretty cool place to work at the time and I'm grateful for the experience of having worked with the best.
